The Copper Cabaret · Season 1: Caelum Reach

Complete — 12 episodes. Listen to the season

1. Cold Blue Light

At a three-jurisdiction seam on Pier 9, Cass Morrow finds a body that no single authority can claim. The manifests name Voss three times—under conflicting records and a seal no one recognizes.

2. Twelve Feet of Iron

Aboard WT-116, a tampered Hermes manifest names a receiving agent who should not be there. Voss, Fen, and Vant face a witness who may know who altered it—and who is waiting for someone else to make the first move.

3. Long-Short-Long

A recovered device begins pulsing through parts of the city grid that should be disconnected. With only hours before the pattern locks in, the crew must decide whether it is a weapon, a key, or something they cannot safely move.

4. Trapped Water

An eleven-minute gap in the harbor watch offers a route through the flooded underside of Pellet Row. The escape may be possible, but the source of their perfect timing is becoming harder to trust.

5. Sealed Canister

A sealed canister holds a name the crew cannot safely speak inside the Bacchanal. A silent legal workaround might preserve their leverage—or alert the very power they are trying to evade.

6. Water Under the Grate

Beneath the Acheron Cut, the crew fractures over a recovered name and a twelve-hour procedural delay. If the name is bait, caution may save them; if it is real, waiting may deliver them straight into an ambush.

7. Threefold Verification

Athena demands custody of the ring, the device, and the canister within forty-eight hours. One missing subsection may let the crew keep their leverage, but exploiting it could reveal exactly how compromised they already are.

8. Debt's Door

Athena's deadline closes around the crew and the sealed-core device. Surrender means losing their only bargaining chip; refusal risks enforcement, old debts, and whatever is making the water beneath them run backward.

9. Warm Core

The sealed device is no longer cold, and its resonance matches records that should have stayed buried. With the harbor watch approaching, the crew must choose who to trust before containment fails completely.

10. Knock Twice

The final layer of the Hermes manifest requires a biometric key tied to its original operator. Fen says opening it is dangerous; the others suspect the object in his hand—and the secrets behind it—are something else entirely.

11. Acheron Cut

Poseidon's harbor sweep changes without warning while the crew argues over the documents inside the canister. Their remaining time is compressing, and every statute meant to protect them is becoming another reason not to act.

12. Third Piling

Six armed figures advance across the dock in a formation designed to force the crew toward the water. A maritime filing may buy a few moments, but it cannot answer who sent them—or what the crew is being positioned to become.

1. Condition Four

Odile Rance needs a classified retrieval approved before the clock runs out. Verity Okonkwo will not bypass the absent section chief—especially after finding the request already stamped in red with Condition Four.

2. The Wrong Countersignature

A Hermes clerk blocks access to a sealed brokerage manifest, while a former agent produces a dispatch order with the wrong countersignature. Somewhere between the two documents, the Colporteur is hiding what was really shipped.

3. The Unsigned Order

Cassius dismisses the new fault in his mechanical arm as cold-weather stiffness. Elsewhere, Verity confronts Odile with a forged form and an unsigned order, bringing two concealed failures closer to the surface.

4. Chalk and Steel

Odile, Cassius, and Aldon follow a suspicious light across open country in search of the Colporteur. At a drainage culvert, they discover he has been waiting for them—and may know more about their orders than they do.

5. Flat Light

The team's revised map contains markings that are not roads, while an unseen presence approaches along the route behind them. Condition Four says to trust the paperwork; survival may require doing the opposite.

6. The Smoke on Top

Smoke rises from a derelict grain elevator whose structure does not match the survey. As the crew advances, withheld notes and unexplained changes turn a routine inspection into a test of whose evidence can still be trusted.

7. Unaccounted Seven

The Company's register declares six pillars at the grain elevator. The crew finds seven. Investigating the extra structure violates their orders; ignoring it may mean stepping into a system that was never meant to balance.
